Trimming side seals

I got oem oversized mazda side seals from Atkins. One side has the same angle as the seals i took out of the motor. The other side is cut at an angle that doesn't particularly match the corner seal groove. Am I supposed to grind it down from that side?

Most posts say to do it from the unfinished side or "squared off side" and I'm guessing that would be the more heavily angled one?

Just want to make sure.

The more angled side.

This side matches my original seals and corner seal groove.

Yes, take it off the angled side. I've found that using a tile saw works really nice for doing this
