transmission swap

Hey guys as you have recently read in some of my threads that my tranny is gone. I'm wanting to put in a 2nd gen transmission. NOw all I want to know is what do I have to modify to the second gen tranny to fit to my 13B 4-port? I know search but I don't have the time right now and just decided to do this. ANY INFORMATION IS GREATLY APPRECIATED. Thanks guys and gals.

I don't think any mods are needed.

Is your 4 port made from a six port or is it an oem 4 port block........ would that even make a diferance?

god only knows lol I bught it like that. I think the engine is a 77. If I'm correct then that would make it a stock 4portblock I would believe

Yup, I have trouble keeping all these little swap factoids
in order.
I think its a direct swap, but try a search there's gotta be some info in the archives on this one.

The n/a 2nd gen. box will bolt straight in if you use the 1st gen. tail and shifter housing. It has to be n/a though... turbo boxes need a lot more work. Search next time.
