Transmission Help

My tranny recently self-destructed in my 84 GSL-SE. I have an 83 GSL in my backyard that I would be able to take the transmission from to replace the one in my car.

Will I be able to make the swap even though the cars have different sized motors? Any help would be much appreciated.
