Transmisions noise!

Transmisions noise!

Hi all when I run the car and down shift to 3rd and 2nd a loud aurrurrrurrrrurrrrurr seems to come from tranny , its 5 spd and it has lube I checked it. well when it's in nutral it also does it no extent I think the through out bearing is going bad, well if it is can I just replace that on its own?

How old is the fluid? Try replacing it with a high-quality synthetic oil like Redline MT-90.

If the throw-out bearing was going bad you should be able to hear it whenever you put your foot on the clutch.

3rd to 2nd - might be a bearing in the tranny. They're pricey (about $50 each), but the main expense is the time pulling the tranny, taking it apart, reassembling, and reinstalling.
