trans syncro

is the sycronizer for the 95 gs trans the same as an s5 trans or does anyone know where i can get one for an 85 gs

the s5 trans uses different synchro's than the pre-86 trans.

mazda sells the synchros, they are $30-40 each. you can find aftermarket sometimes

if you dont feel like going to the dealer, you can always use one from a used trans that you can find here on the board. i would however recomend buying new if you're going to have the gear case open. where in ohio are you located?
