green fuel pump contacts

started my car, got about 30 feet, engine died, wouldn't start, I couldn't hear the fuel pump....so I checked the carb floats, they were empty....noticed the fuel pump contacts under the storage bins were green!!!

this begs the question, what other contacts (electrical connections) are prone to circuit shorting corrosion on my 25 year old car???

whcih should I use Duralube, wd-40, or silicone water pump sealer to prevent corrosion after I clean the contacts???

not the best person to answer the first part, in CA we dont get much corrosion, but i do see the marker lights not work, and the fuel sender connector gets pretty nasty too. wipers also see a lot of weather

part 2, is anything that seals out water and oxygen, but doesnt run when it gets hot. we just took apart a 90's integra, and it had this white grease looking stuff in a lot of the connectors

Dielectric grease works well. Don't need too much either. WD40 will work too.
