Tranny Mount Question

Okay, there appears to be two types of tranny mounts for the 1st gens, and I'm not sure what the change covered. I am trying to figure out if the change was made for all '84-85 cars, or just for the SEs.

Attached is the type that I had on my '85 GS. Problem is, I can't be sure that it is the proper mount for the car. When I ordered this mount along with some other parts about 4 years ago, Rockauto sent me some parts that were clearly meant for an SE (braked pads). I'm not sure if the error was mine, or theirs.

So anyway, is this a mount for an 84-85 or is it a mount for an SE?

Thanks for letting me tap into the global grey matter...

Okay, computer is getting goofy on me, so I'll post the pics after my Father's day breakfast...

Yum, the wife made me a great breakfast.

Okay, on to the pictures. As you can see, one type is thinner, and uses a different style of bushing. The other is thicker (where the bushings go) and uses a much thicker type of bushing.

I want to order some nylon bushings to replace the outer units, but need determine for sure what I've got so I know which type to order.

the difference in the mounts is between the manual trans and the auto trans. i can post a pic of each trans crossmember side by side if you'd like. the actual rubber mount on the crossmember differs as well.

The one further away from the camera looks like the type I've seen in my '81 and Percent's '83. Just to let you know, there appears to be a 3rd version, not pictured above, that was used in the GSL-SE. I remember because I had to slightly slot some of the holes in it when I was messing with the 4 rotor mock up a couple years ago in my friend's GSL-SE. Turns out I didn't actually need to slot them. Oh well. I'll grab another at some point when he's ready to do the 4 rotor.

Both of these mounts came off of manual tranny cars. Both mounts work on my car, and line up just fine.

Do you think it was a change made for the 84-85 cars? The "thin bushing" type came off of an '82, while the "thick bushing" type came off my '85. But like I said, I'm not sure that I had the correctly "specified" mount on my car to begine with.
