Trailering a first gen - bumper clearance issues?

Hey Guys,

Just purchased an 82 GSL, picking it up in a week and a half, going to be towing it on a uhaul car trailer (behind a uhaul truck... wooo...).
I'm just wondering if anyone has experience loading a first gen onto a uhaul trailer - am I going to have to pull off the radiator grill / lower bumper skirt to make it fit? do I need to bring something to extend the ramps (ie. some planks to reduce the angle...)
Also, are there tie down / tow hooks on the front of the 1st gens? (in case I need to use a come-along to coerce it up the ramps - doesn't run yet... )
Any suggestions are welcome, just trying to make this as smooth as possible....

Thanks,

Matt

Oh, and as an aside - does anyone know where I can d/l an 82 FSM? I've got the 80 FSM, but it lacks some year specific details (rear disc brakes, etc...)

Should go one the trailer just fine. Did the same thing across state a few years ago. The tire strap tie downs on the trialers work quite well.

The U-Haul site shows how to get the car on the carrier if the car sits a bit low. But this does not apply to the 7 at all.

The 7 has two tow hooks up front and one in back. You will need a come along to get it up if it doesn't run.

Here is mine coming home last year:
