Trade me?
I've decided that I need to take a different direction with my car...
What that direction's final destination is, is undecided... however, I need to change SOMETHING.
Here's what I have for trade:
A set of VERY rare, 15x8", Centerline IMSA wheels. They're one of SEVEN sets EVER made in 4x110mm, and Centerline Wheels, Inc. has appraised them at $3,100, without tires, in decent condition. These have only a couple nicks that are barely noticeable, and were caused from the shop that installed the tires. There is no other blemishes whatsoever, and will be re-polished before you get them. They have 205/50-15 Falken Azenis Sports on them, with the fronts having about 75% tread left, and the rears having about 25% tread left. They can be removed before shipping, if preferred. Included with the deal, if desired, would be a 1982 GSL rearend and driveshaft ( an "almost chrome" powdercoated driveshaft can be included as well, but would need an extra week or so for delivery... it has to be shipped from central IL.)
Here's what I'd like to trade for:
A GOOD 12A/13B, with low miles, porting is optional (but not required), complete long block. If 13B, I need a RB Road Race Header too....And a GSL-SE suspension conversion... I already have some -SE wheels, but don't have the right stuff to mount it to.
I REALLY need to get my car back on the road. I just got it back, and yes, I obsessed over the wheels, and how much I love them, but it's just not feasible for me to keep taking a cab everywhere... a trip to the beach (where I work twice a week) is $34 each way. That's killing my "motor fund."
Obviously, I'd prefer someone local, but shipping can be arranged.

I just went outside and polished up the driver's side wheels... they look like CHROME.
I used 3M's Marine Metal Restorer and Polish. The can is like 24 bucks, but dammit man, they look GOOD! I use the polish at work on the boats, and it does such a good job on all of that chrome and polished SS, I just figured I'd try it... and they look like MIRRORS now. A couple little spots that I didn't get, but all it's gonna take is some more elbow grease and a little bit of time. They really do look nice, though.
Honestly, it'll be hard to see them go, but I NEED a motor, and I need to put a use to these -SE wheels. I just wanna DRIVE again!

umm, I don't think I have enough room in the engine bay for the first one!
And the second one, thanks for looking, but like I said, I'm looking to TRADE... not buy. I just can't afford to buy one, otherwise, this thread wouldn't exist.

Thanks, but I don't need any more wheels.... I've already got this set for 4x110, and I have a -SE set. I'm looking to go to the -SE bolt pattern anyway.
It is a good offer, though, IanS, it's just that I'm not in the position to accept it at this time.

FD's have a very common bolt pattern though... 5x4.5" is available to almost every "supercar" and wheel manufacturer. 4x110 is nearly impossible when it comes to the aftermarket... any first gen owner can tell you that. I know you've owned all 3, and I'm not doubting your knowledge in the slightest, I'm just emphasizing how much of a limited run these wheels actually are.

They can be used on RX2's, RX3's, RX4's, Cosmo's, EARLY 240SX's (the S12 I think it's called?)...
But I see your point, and I do agree with it. I'm not here to argue the validity of your comments, vosko, I'm just trying to trade my wheels for a motor and suspension swap. It seems like a fair trade, if you ask me... dollar for dollar, it's about even.
