Top plugs don't fire

I am getting no spark to the top plugs on my 12a. I have only had the car 1 month and am still not too familiar with this rotary stuff. There is no spark from the coil, there is 12v to the positive side and I do not get a tach reading from the negative side. The coil is new.

I need to know what to look at next, igniter? (Hell, I haven’t figured out what they do yet), or something else?

Thanks

Can you buy them at the local auto parts store? Should I replace both, if one failed is the other far behind?

Just replace the failed one. Someone on the forum should be able to sell you one as they're *very* expensive new.

You could also try going to your local junkyard and pull the distributor cap for a low price. The ignitors are attached and hopefully the guy at the desk doesnt't realize it. I scored two this way.

If I'm looking at the right thing they seem to be attached to the side of the distributor not the cap.

Other then fouling the plugs will it hurt anything to drive it?

My trailing ignitor hasn't worked for the last 6,000 miles. I've replaced the ignitor with several different ones, so I'm sure it's gotta be somewhere else in the wiring on mine.

Of course, I also recently lost an apex seal ): But I'm sure that's unrelated.

It should drive fine, maybe a little less power, and less clean emissions.
