That oil leak is dumping hot oil onto your heater hose beneath the beehive, which are reknown for failure from this, if you dont catch it, you fry the engine. IMHO.

PS, I did it and its not hard or expensive.
Thanks for the advice. I do apreciate it. But this car is going to stay stock. I have had it for over 10 years and it is very rarely driven. I know the beehive is a piece of crap and have debated about changing it many times but I am at the point now that this car is worth more to me as is then doing any mods to it.

Plus the car gets a once over money no object inspection/repair 2 times a year. This winter it will have the leak corrected.

I agree. I didn't think the leak was a big deal either, until I blew the heater hose. Now, with the front mount and the new hoses, my oil pressure is 60psi and it runs a bit cooler.

I just checked... my hoses are dry... I took my niece for a ride in it earlier and my temp is low and I have great oil pressure.

Thanks man! I have a long history with this car even before it was mine! I did the servicing on it when I was working in a shop when I was 16.

Yeah it probably was meant to be! I took a different way home from work one day and there was the car sitting in a driveway with a for sale sign in the rear window. And the rest as they say is history.

I'm going to keep it stock. There are very few original 1st gens left out there. There was a time a few years ago that I was thinking about making a killer turbo set up. My friends and I almost had the wrenches in hand but we just could not do it, the car is just too nice.

Funny you mention that. My g/f spotted a decent FB not too far from her parents place a few weeks ago and took some pics of it today when she was visting them. She thinks that I should buy it. Hummmm, might make a nice project car...
