I took a road trip in my 83 this weekend. Texas Motor Speedway was holding "Laps for charity" on Saturday evening. Left Tulsa Ok. about 11 am sat, arrived at TMS 4:30 pm. 275 miles.
The event started at 5 pm, was about 5:30 when I pulled out on the track. 80 MPH seems rather slow around the track but it sure felt good having the 7 "in the groove"
Made the return trip sunday. Averaged 25.5 MPG, and only one minor issue. I had replaced the low coolant sensor in my radiator, and discovered I have a mild o-ring leak at the intake. Just misses for a few seconds at startup, and blows a little white smoke. Clears up in 2-3 seconds.
If anyone is interested in seeing my ugly mug, along with the 7, in victory lane, I can post a pic in a couple days. It'll take me that long to get it scanned into the computer.
