Both, the engine is still drawing vacuum, that's what pulls fuel into the carb.

Forgot about the TII engine, which pulley boss did you use when you installed the 1st gen front cover? 12A, SE or 2nd gen, and which timing pulley did you use. There is a difference and it can change the timing, along with orientation.

2nd gen pulleys mount 1 way only, though I have seen them installed wrong and buggered. 1st gen pulleys mount 4 ways, 1 correct, and the timing marks are different between the 12A and 13B 1st gen ones.

No, didn't get it to run

Here's the plugs before cleaning. Ones that were engine when I bought it on left.

and after, a little dull from the blasting

and after cranking, you can see a little oil on them

Here's some clips, actually sound bites, no video
1st is tdc per wacky's instructions, after having poured some oil in the primaries and after cleaning plugs

another, i may have turned the dizzy, can't remember

This one i switched the ignitor wires,KINDA seemed different but not by much

So on deflooding, drain the bowls and crank right? Without leading plugs or trailing or both?

With the 2nd gen pulley, line up the lead timing mark and stab the dizzy, no need to go through all the other bs. First audio sounds close, other 2 are farther off time. Pull the lowere plugs when deflooding. make sure the ignition is disabled, you don't want a flash fire.

Cleaned plugs look good.

Thanks, whatever way I did it, I was able to line up the pulley with the pointer on the cover. So that's good news for others out there.

Yea, the first clip had a lot of oil in it so compression was good. And yes I do pull the fuse, and wait til the air clears to light a cig!
