I had the same problem when I recieved my cross drilled and slotted rotors. To get the races out I use a socket that fit near perfect. to install i place the races as best I could then installed the rotor onto the strut assembly. With it on install bearing washer and nut and tighten the nut this will compress the race into the rotor evenly without the possibility of shipping the rotor. I know i tried it with a punch and hammer the first time and chipped the rotor. It was still usable but chipped. Hope this helped.
