Tiny Fuel Tank Pickup Line

Ive got a 13BT conversion into my SII RX7.

My fuel system has been upgraded - 1700cc indy blues, 044 bosch pump, surge tank, carter lift pump, SX fuel pressure regulator etcetc.

Having a look at the factory fuel tank I can see the feed line is tiny. Im talking tiny here folks!

Since this is a suction line at low pressure, this has really got me worried. Graham Bell in his book on forced induction talks about a 1/2" line being good for around 650hp - now thats for the BSFC of a piston engine typically. So given the BSFC of a rotor, your looking at around 520hp or so.

So what am I going to do? I guess remove the tank and braze in a modified pickup with a 1/2" feed line? Or put two pickups in there at different corners each with a 1/2" feed line?

Has anyone done anything about this?

Here is mine. I got the car with the fuel cell sitting on top of the spare tire hole backwards. Whoever's bright idea it was to mount it like this was smoking crack. I mounted the cell below after figuring out where to trim the new sheet metal. There is still a gap in front, but I might use it to route the breather line.
