timing was right, but the fuel pump is dead

Well I finally figured out that my damn ignition timing is right, and I just wasnt getting any fuel at all.

I couldnt get the engine to fire up so there was no way of dpressuing the lines, so I grabbed a rag and goggles, and prepaired for a blast of gas from the main line... and there suprisingly was NO pressure at all.

Nata, zilch, nothing. So next I shorted out the fuel pump connector and turned the ignition to on, and I could here the pump but on the line, I couldnt even feel air moving. My firend said it sounded like my fuel pump was having a seziure. So I guess that would explain why I couldnt get the car to stay running, no I get to figure out how to replace the damn thing.

Does anybody know of a how to on replaceing a GSL-SE fuel pump? the replacement one looks a little different than the origional

Sure, take the bolts out that hold the plate on there, take the pump off, put the new one on, bolt it back on .

I know the new pumps arent exactly the same. But, I managed to get the one I replaced for a friend to work just fine. Basically, it just didnt bolt tothe plate the same way. Im sure you can figure it out. Read the manual as to how to take all the old stuff out, then just swap it out .
