TII swap, is my radiator and oil cooler good enough?

Ive got a jspec 91 TII motor going into my 82.
heres the plan,
stock motor.
BNR stage 2 turbo
3in exhaust turbo back, 3 strait through mufflers.
big front mount in a eribuni front end.
haltech e6k
shooting for 300 hp

I have a 3 core mazdatrix radiator and a stock air/oil cooler.

im thinking the radiator is sufficient but what about the oil cooler?

how much is a second gen cooler? and can I use my stock oil lines on the new engine? (mazdatrix, steel braided)

i dont know how good the stock air/oiler coolers are from the first gen (79-83) but the second gen ones are great and they fit with just a little cutting.

what do you have to cut, and do the stock lines fit.

this car is a daily driver in the summer (minnesota summer = about 100 max) so reliability is a premium.

The FC coolers are only a inch or two longer than the FB ones, stick with the FB one. I doubt you will have a problem with oil temps unless you block the stock cooler with your FMIC.

well the oil cooler will be in the stock location.

the front mount will be roughly the same size as the large opening in the nose peice. the other two smaller vents will be left open.

the electric fan I have extrends down over the cooler a bit and that should help.

what kind of shop can repair a oil cooler. mine is leaking at one of the fittings.

you're at a slight advantage over the guys running the 84-85 radiators. you've got your oil cooler under the radiator instead of in front of it. the stock oil cooler will do fine for the engine, as setzep said, it's not that much smaller than the T2 unit.

the most that i could speculate is to mount the intercooler at angle, and build an air duct for the IC with some sheet aluminum.

however, your best bet would be to PM someone that went through this already, or is going through it. maybe mike-p-28 or Directfreak ... sorry, i don't really know of any other off the top of my head, but i'm sure they'll read this ...

good luck

I use the stock radiator and oil cooler/lines and have no problems with heat. The only concern for you, would be adequate air flow past the I/C as has been mentioned. I use a stock I/C which has been mounted at the front, but it doesn't restrict flow much.

As long as your careful with the I/C placement you should be fine.

i think a mazdatrix/eribuni front end with a intercooler the size of the large opening is sufficent.

thats a lot of surface area and its in a high pressure area.
