TII Motor swap q's

I have decided to make my second gen a ridiculous GT car, with either a 20B or LS small block....Custom interior, custom everything. Essentially it will be a car that can rival the Ferrari 599 GTBs and Aston Martin DBSs of the world in terms of performance and comfort (very ambitous, I know, but we work with what we have!).

So what does that mean? My first gen GS will be the recipient of the second gen's S5 TII engine, with rtek 1.7 ecu, apexi twin chamber BOV, and FMIC among other things. I have searched on the matter and this is what I have come up with as far as needed to install the FC engine into the FB:

S5 TII engine and transmission - GOT IT
S4 Rtek 1.7 ECU - GOT IT
S4 Engine wiring harness - GOT IT
12A Front Cover - GOT IT
FC oil cooler - GOT IT
GSL-SE oil pan - don't have yet...
external EFI fuel pump - don't have yet....any recommendation's?

These are the things that I am not so sure about and couldn't find through searching:

1. I Converted the FB's ignition to Direct Fire with an MSD 6A and Blaster coils, can I use the FB's distributer and coils to fire the TII engine, or will I have to strip the wiring for the FC's electronic system from the FC's driver side wiring harness?

2. I found that the FC's TII transmission will require notching of the transmission tunnel and some creative mounting to work. Also I believe a custom driveshaft would be in order. My question is do I get a TII driveshaft with an FB rear end flange (strength), or a FB driveshaft with TII spline and FB flange (length)?

3. I have heard that with using the 12A fuel tank with an external EFI fuel pump creates fuel starvation issues. The one solution I would prefer doing is running a surge tank setup. Are there any write-ups on this? I found a few threads with surge tanks but nothing showing key tips to making one.

4. What is the ideal location for the turbo oil return?

I think that covers everything. Please make any suggestions if I let anything out.

thanks in advance

Everything has been covered over and over and over except maybe the question regarding the making of a surge tank.

Go to the archives for all the other information. Also check this main section for information. As far as the surge tank goes please post a separate thread as I am killing all threads regarding TII swaps as all members need to use the information that has been supplied over and over again so that we stop cluttering this site with this redundant subject.
