Ticking Time Bomb?
I found out the other day that my rx has a rebuilt 12a from HaHaHayes should I start looking for a new engine swap, don't know how many miles were on it when I bought it and it seems to run just fine, now I have think twice about taking it to redline. Takes the fun out of things when your worrying about your engine grenading on you. Any one have an estimate on how many miles I can get out of it, I have already put 5 or 6 thousand myself.

This has to be one of my biggest pet peeves. People who get all worked up and paranoid about nothing. My best friend does this **** all the time, lol. If its running fine, its running fine. You wouldnt try and drive it any different than you had been if you hadnt found out its from Hayes now would you? Just drive the damn thing until it breaks, then worry about it. If you feel so inclined, start saving for a rebuild now, it can only help, but you have to draw a line eventually. I mean, why pull out a perfectly good engine thats running fine just to put in ANOTHER rebuilt one once you save enough? You wouldnt. So, assuming this one doesnt break after 100+ thousand miles, and youre still saving, when are you going to give in that this one was just fine? As much bas hype as Hayes gets, and as much as I hate the shop, I will say there are a few motors that havent had problems from them.
To summarize, just drive it and be happy it runs. If it aint broke, dont fix it!!
