Throttle not responding

Allrite about a week or so ago, I parked my car and when I got back in to start it, she would not turn on... I would turn the key over and she would try to turn on but nothing, I fiqured she was flooded, bu tI don't believe thats the case beeening if I floored it she would start to turn on but would pick up idle slowly, I had the gas floored and the idle would barely move, Then after a few seconds BOOM, she started to idle correctly.... It seemed when I pressed the gas she wasn't getting the actuall gas... It's a little hard to describe... My car does not do it all the time, but since she first started doing this It happens maybe 2 out of 10 times,, Any clue what this could be... I have repaced the fuel filter, cap, rotor, plugs, wire, air filter, oil filter the usually tune up.. ANy and all help is appreciated.. Thank in advance

Being flooded means it would've cranked over and over but not start. Too much fuel in the chambers. I've had that happen to me before. Flooring it when the engine is flooded won't do any good. It'll just dump more fuel into the system.

absolutely, I understand about adding more fuel, The reason I dont think it's flooding is because unless I press on the gas pedal, she will not turn on at all, I've taken the plugs out and they are dry...

What do you mean by "not turning on at all" ? It won't turn over or it won't sputter like it's trying to start up?

For EFI engines, I know that cranking the engine intermittently while flooring the gas pedal is the best way to deflood an engine.

BY not turning on at all,,, I mean It will crank, but will not start running . It cranks like it wants to turn on but wont'. If your rite about flooring the car and de flooding it, Then yes flooding should be my problem,,, let me do some searches here on flooding, Man thats seems to be a MAJOR ISSU for alot of these Gsl-se's.. I am not liking it at all,,,, I know I would have to have my injectors taken out and tested for leaks and go from there.... As well as the injectors what else should I look for and check to resolve this issue........
Thanks you guys for your help................

My car VERY rarely floods. IIRC, one reason why it floods is if you start up the car, just to move it briefly, then shut it back off. Then, do it again. I did that one when I was moving my car back and forth. Came out later the next day, it was flooded. I'm still not sure about how the damn engine floods.

If it becomes a problem still, hook up that On/Off toggle switch to the fuel pump's ground wire. With engine running, flick switch to Off, let the engine burn off the rest of the fuel in the line. The fuel pump only engages once that engine starts spinning. It doesn't start up when you twist the key to "On".

I have been told to do that, If I cannot fiqure any other way then I will try the toggle switch for the fuel pump, I would just hate to do something like that,,, I would love to have my car running as near to factory as possible..... I appreciate your input..............................

its just good sense in a se or any 13b for that matter to have a toggle. But i would aslo look elsewhere to see if you have other problems with your injectors or injector seal's. I lost a 7 due to bad injector seals. Its was a big fire
