I have swapped carbs and put a Holley 450 on the FB. I've sorted out most of the bugs but am wondering what some of you guys did for a throttle cable on these Holleys. I made a custom bracket coming off the alt bolt for the two nuts to tighten up to, and used two fender washers and screws to hold the cable in place and work on the existing linkage. The problems: one, I don't have a return spring, so cable will stick, not good. Two, by making this "custom" setup I extended the throttle cable by two inches and there is a lot of slack, also to make no slack the curvature would be too sharp. So wondering what you guys did to overcome this, by either getting new linkage or throttle cable, or what. I'll get some pics tomorrow morning so you can see what I mean.

I curious too. Mine is apart right for a rebuild and when it goes back together I plan to change my sideraft fron a wrap around manifold to a straight one, which will require a different, longer throttle and choke cable. I was thinking there may be something workable from one of the industrial suppliers, either macmaster car or MSC, have not had a chance to research what is avalible.

Yeah, I'm kinda dumbfounded with this. Another reason I want this fixed is that my Bronco II is a disaster waiting to happen, and I need a backup vehicle since the Chevy is down right now, too. I need valve cover gaskets and rotors for the Bronco II but it runs well.
