Throttle cable length

Is the throttle cable longer on a 1st gen than a 2nd gen. Reason I built a 13b bridgeport for a 2nd gen using a weber 48IDA carb. the stock cable is to short. Does anyone know the length difference? I have to pull from the top also. Thanks

i can't tell you the length differences but i can tell you that the cables are entirely different. remember, the 79-85's with a carb will have a different cable than the 84-85 GSL-SE and both of those are different than the 86-88 non turbo's cable and even more different is the 86-88 TII and the 89-91 TII.
