Throttle Body / Dynamic Chamber connection

Hi.

There is a black gasket/spacer between the Throttle body and the Dynamic Chamber (see pic). First question...what the hell is it called. Second question...when assembling the two pieces, is it necessary to use any sealant?

Thanks.

the black plastic between the tb and the dynamic chamber is necessary and is called the throttle boby spacer. no sealant is required. there are gaskets on the spacer though. if they fall apart replace them. they are extremely thin and black in color.

Thanks for the info. I don't recall seeing any gaskets but as you said, they're extremely thin so I probably wiped it away when I cleaned them up. I suppose Mazda is probably the only place I'll find these I'm guessing.
