throttle body??
can someone tell me what this is? I saw it on ebay and the ad said that it can go on a 12A. does it replace the carb? or does it go ontop of the carb or what?
sorry for the noobish question..it looks cool as hell and i'd like to see it in my engine bay.
Thanks.

Absolute Power is Awesome
It's a fuel injection replacement for a carb. It's designed to fit to any intake designed for a Weber carb. As is shown in the picture it has four fuel injectors and two fuel rails. So you'd also need a new intake manifold and a number of other fuel line parts.

Uh, no. I think anyone here would rather have just about any fuel injection over just about any carb setup. Just about.
The best thing about fuel injection is no float bowl to adjust or to spill or to starve or to clog or to boil or... what else goes wrong with float bowls? help me out here.

Carb's good points: cheap, purely mechanical (ie some believe that it will fail less often), 'simple' (This closely relates to cheap, ie The parts to rejet a carb are simple thus cheap).
Carb's bad points: Not quite as adjustable as FI, you often have to choose between drivablity and max power, purely mechanical (Seriously, how often do you have to rebuild a carb....exactly my point). Gas mileage and emissions suffer, relys on an intake restriction to pull in fuel.
FI's good points: Almost infinately adjustable (with the right software/interface), works just as well low load as high load so drivablity is exceptional, doesn't require a restriction because fuel is injected, gas mileage and emissions can also be more accurately controlled, 'simple' (The concept of metered fuel through pulse size using a dedicated injector IMO is much more simple compared to the innerworkings of a carb).
FI's bad point:high price of entry, especially if converting from carbed.
Of course you can proably tell on which side of the line I stand on .
