"rains a little"!!!!!!!!!

I heard that you guys up there only have an average of something like 80 sunny days a year. Does that sound close?

Question interesting....

Hmmm, thats an interesting set-up you've got. What kind of improvement do you notice from this? if any?
If its worth it, would you be willing to make a tutorial?
Thanks....

oh yeah, you see that rubber molding piece around the headlights? you can barely see it in pic. well the guy i got mine from is pretty cool, he took it off to let air flow over the engine, its supposed to keep rain out but thats no biggie in texas. dunno how much it would help, just a suggestion, and i can pop back on when i need to also

If any I think I notice more power in the upper RPM's because the car is sucking more cool air from out side the engine bay. The thing only cost me about $ 20.00 to build, and the only mod I did was to cut the hole where the hose goes out in front of the radiator. I am happy and it looks nice.

If I read your website correctly, you have a 90' elbow outside the engine bay kinda in front of the radiator, right? I was curious if you are worried about hydrolock? I like your setup...I was looking at mine this weekend and trying to figure out where to move the coolant overflow to. I see you just moved yours down a little. I might do this mod this weekend. I'd like to hear your ideas about hydrolock before I start.

why not run an air scoop and a bonez intake to open up the top of the filter? That is what I am thinking of since I already have the Bonez intake. Do you think the cold air intake would still be a factor if I ran an air scoop? Finally any problems with the way the car runs since the installation of the cold air intake. Perhap too much air for the air fuel mixture at top speeds?

Is the Bonez intake the thing that has a smaller lid to let air in around the top? If you run a CAI with this, the forced air will just blow by the filter and into the engine bay. I guess a little will be forced into the carb, but not too much. You'd have to put the factory lid back on to seal it up.

Yes you are right about the Bonez. Would running an air scoop make the difference? Perhaps a air scoop over the Bonez to make it a closed box and then a CAI?

An air scoop over the bonez set up would help you get more cold air. If you had a CAI with this set up, the air will just push out the scoop, defeating the purpose of forced air induction. Either cut a hole for a scoop or put the sealed lid back on and do the CAI as shown by Pittdp. Don't do both. I'm leaning towards the CAI like Pittdp's, but the Mariah scoop caught my eye. I'm torn between the two. I guess I could get the nonfunctional scoop and still run the CAI, kinda silly to have a nonfunctional scoop, though.
