Those with Autometer tach's...

If you are feeding the tach off the leading coil, is there any way to stop the 'noise' that starts to occur at higher rpm's (7000+)? I'm using one on my 2nd gen racecar (using a distributor) and the tach starts to get pretty inaccurate as the rpm's build.

Any input appreciated!

I know stock the tach is fed off the trailing coil, so this may have been one reason why they did this. Im not very knowledgable when it comes to tachs and how they work. If anything it will give you something to try...
