The things you think you'll never need...
So a few years ago I rewired my car and didn't wire in the windshield wipers. I never drove the car in the rain and never planed on it. This is when I had the V8 swap and didn't daily drive the car and really only drove it on known nice days.
But now with the sr' in it, I drive it as much as weather will allow.
So I drive the car into work today not thinking much about the weather. Just a minute ago someone asked me, as I looked outside at traffic, if it was raining because a person on the phone that lives down the road said "it was pouring". I think WTF and check the weather online... sure enough a bad cell is coming through, but will be gone soon.
So I have to drive home in light rain... or at the very least road mist ( I-95 rush hour) with no wippers.
The moral of the story I guess, even though you may never need it... some things are good to have.

Meh, no road mist or anything. It's so humid today that the moisture isn't really being picked up... well off to the garage to clean it... so I can wire my wipers back up.

Wipers: useful
Windshield washer sprayers: not very useful
That's my take on it
Though I know a guy who threw a windex bottle and a squeegie onto his passenger seat to pass inspection in place of the above
Don't know how well that'd work tho.

I hear they have this wax or something that you put on your windshield so water just glides right off- no wipers needed. I've never seen it, but apparently, it's out there.
But then again, wouldn't race teams be using it if it worked?
