Are these too big for my anorexic car?

I found a wicked set of 17*8 with a 35 offset with 235/40/17 tires on it...think they'll fit without rubbing or very little...will they fit in the fenders...or do I have to roll them...or can I just go with a lower profile tire?

i think that might be too much. i test fitted my new rims on my car today and they were close. i have 17X7 40mm offset with 215/40/17. they had less than an inch of clearance on the inside and since i need to get new lugs i didnt get to see how close they are to the fender.

225's will fit in the rear wont they? you could try 205's on the rims but they wll be stretched.. not very safe.

yea, I have 225/45-17 rs304a's on the back of mine and it has about an inch to go on the inside and I had to roll the finders to make the outside fit. They are mounted on 17x7 with a 38 offset.
