Are these mufflers good to use with a turbo 13B

I need to make a 3"exhaust system for my RX3. I have a Cosmo 13B-RE motor with a big T4. It is a street car so I need the noise to be on the legal side of loud at worst. I am strongly considering using these two muffler for my system. Any experience? Any opinions?

I'm using two Magnaflow mufflers for the same application, and it's OK. The noise is a little high, especially when I'm at WOT, but its not so high that the cops hassle me when I'm cruising. The tone is kind of motorcycle-like.

My buddy has the universal mufflers on his 2nd gen(n/a though). They have a really nice tone, not that loud either. I say get them

Racingbeat mufflers are the most quite free flowing mufflers u can buy for any rx7, i am running a mid-section muffler and a FD rear on my turbo fb running a cosmo 13b as well, and it sounds just like a slighty modded GSLSE with Streetport racingbeat exhaust to give u an idea how quite.

I like this thread, I'm going to have to make a similar decision pretty soon. Good to know.

I'm also running twin Magnaflows in a 2-1/2" dia. exhaust system on my turbo 13B. I find it nice a quiet when cruising around town, with a nice low tone. It does get much louder at WOT, but still not excessive IMO.

Just remember that the noise level increases as the diameter increases. All things being equal, a 3" system is a lot louder than a 2 1/2" one.

The system I am replacing was 3.5" Borla to dual 2.5"Edelbrock RPMs. Lots of flow. Edelbrocks sound great. Borla muffler sucks ***. I added it and I swear the car got louder. No room for that system anymore with the addition a 3-link and panhard rod.

Whatever you do dont use a chambered muffler such as the Flowmaster super 44. Might be great for a V 8 but the resonance is really metallicy andannoying. that plus another muffler at the end and its pretty damn loud

Hmm, I'm also going 3" all the way back but because my car is a track car with only occasional street use, I was only going to go with the single Magnaflow. Any thoughts as to if this will be too loud? I know the turbo will help quiet the sound, I want to be able to hear my exhaust through my helmet, but be able to take it to work on a nice Friday.
