Does anyone make an actual chin-type front spoiler, like the kind on an old BOSS Mustang or Camaro? I'm not talking about the type that comes straight down from the front of the bumper, but rather it juts outward from a point farther back... sorry I don't have any pictorial examples of what I'm talking about.. I'll look for something to post.

Yes, that's the type of chin spoiler I'm talking about, only bigger. Is there anything like that available? That 79/80 piece doesn't retrofit to an '83, does it?

No...there's two steel panels underneath a '79/'80 front end the spoiler uses for strength attachments. I suppose it could be done, though but it won't be a bolt on affair.

To Mike-P-28...omigod, did you just say JC Whitney, Mr. Cosmo??

He's talking about this ' chin spoiler'

the pic says 69,,but the car is a 70 boss 302

I don't think anyone fabs. a plastic chin spoiler
like those for a mazda...the fords and chevys used
them for trans am racing,,,the boss's bodys were
nascar stamped on the door jamb

Yes, Mark! That's exactly what I'm talking about. So nobody has ever made one for an FB?

The top picture DEFPRUN posted from the Mazdatrix website, anyone got a pic of that painted to match or from a different angle?

Apparently they do still make them, mazdatrix has them on their site...

Anyway, if i WERE to get a chin spoiler it would be the one that you're all talkin aboot. I saw a black one with it, looked pretty bitchin. Reminds me of the thing you see on Datsun 240zs.

No,,sorry, i don't think so,,i totaly like how simple the
chin spoilers on the boss's look,, maybe those can still
be bought from a mustang/boss/ford parts only place
and maybe trim it down,,they are a molded plastic.
i used to have one on my 1969 mustang/shelby..
there's also i think it's fibretrends,fibreglasstrends,
something like that,,and they are fibreglass,,though ??
