temp guage

Hey guys,

The temp guage goes up to the first mark on the car and basically hovers around there no matter how hot the car gets... I'm guessing temp sensor has gone bad, but I thought I'd let some of you chime in on this one.

Aside... the cats are glowing and the exhaust over heating light comes on. I think they're clogged to hell and its running a bit rich. (Recently switched over from auto > 5 spd)

Thanks!

check your thermostat and replace your cats, or remove em!

thermostat seems ok..will check it though.

As for the cats..definately gotta get rid of them. If I gut them temporarily until the cash rolls around.. will the sound level of the exhaust increase drastically?

compared to a totally stock exhaust system it will be a bit loud ya. but i run a gutted header with straight exhaust (no cats) to the muffler and its loud, but nothing insane... i've yet to have anyone bitch at it for being loud

might be better just to weld in straight pipes or get test pipes for better flow if you can afford it.

these cars sound awesome with straight through flow!
