MO Tell me about my wheels.

I've had these wheels on my car since I bought it. They came on the car. They're Team Dynamics, 15x7. Not sure what the offset is but I have to run spacers in the front, which is why I'm trying to trade/sell them for something I don't have to use spacers with. I was wondering what everyone knew about this particular wheel. How much it's worth, rarity, etc. They're in pretty good shape.

Thanks,
Crispin

Very good wheels, definitley TD Pro Race. Light and strong, I'd say keep em! More like $700 by the time you ship them new. How wide are the spacers? No big deal unless the offset is way off. Actually, the more I look at your pics it looks like you've got a pretty aggro offset and probably have big spacers.. Id like to have a set in black for my spec 7, Panasports are light but everybody's got them.

I have both 1/4' and 9/16' spacers.. I like to run the 1/4's only in the front. I don't care for the look of em' and currently need the $ so I'm selling them with the slicks.

You need to be "CONTENT" as it doesn't matter how much $$$ you invest on it, you will never be happy if you're not "CONTENT." Took me years to understand it.

The word "CONTENT" is priceless. Food for thought.

definition by dictionary.com

con·tent (kən tent′)

adjective

1. happy enough with what one has or is; not desiring something more or different; satisfied

And I'm not satisfied with these wheels, simply because I have to run wheel spacers. Also don't car for 15's.

since you put it that way, yeah, your rims suck and ugly IMHO. Panasports, epsilons, hayashi, weds, autobahns and some of the SSRs are on top of my list. However, these rims arent cheap and they approx $1K.

I think they're fairly ugly too. That's why i'm selling them to someone who appreciates them a little more then i do.
Can't say i care for any of those brands either, Maybe Weds.
Otherwise i stick to Spinwerks, Diamonds, Marsh, Etc.

Like I said, Team Dynamics are quality wheels. Aside from aesthetics, it appears the offset is a bit off and you have alot of "poke". What happens when the "poke" is too far out the leverage put on to the hubs and bearings is greater than what a correctly offset wheel would present and as a result (under track conditions) you can have problems with bearings overheating and failing, etc. Plus they look a bit funny. For street use it shouldnt be anything other than cosmetic. That said, its important for overall car satisfaction to have wheels that fit both your aesthetic and performance requirements, so don't feel bad if you want to change them out. What I would be looking for is what the offset actually is (should be stamped on the wheel somewhere, or you can measure it) then use the net to research whch car owners would likely be interested in them. 4 lug patterns will be a pretty short, old list I imagine. Find the enthusiast websites for these machines, join, and post them in the classifieds for sale or swap. Been there, done that! (I have a Subrau WRX for my street car and Subie owners are wheel ****** from hell-many of us have tarmac race wheels, gravel wheels, winter wheels and tires, and summer street wheels). lol, check out NASIOC.com if you dont believe me!
