tachometer

Hello. Can someone please run out to their car real quick and let me know what the wire colors are in the connector for the tach (in the engine bay). It has the colored "goes no where" connector attached to it and has two wires in the male end. I accidentally cut this and now my tach doesnt work. Thanks.

I've only had my car for 5 days so i don't know where much is. I looked under the hood but could not find anything fitting that description. What year and model is your 7 ? i'm sitting next to my haines manual and may be able to look it up.

The Haynes book says the hot wire is yellow/green. So i imagine the other wire is a common wire. So what ever that color is... Does this help?
