t2 tran onto a jc cosmo 13btt??

Question t2 tran onto a jc cosmo 13btt??

well i just brought a 1992 jc comso 13b twin turbo engine and i would like to know if the know if the a t2 trans will fit on which i think that it does? and the flywheel can i just use the one off a t2 and would that fit onto the cosmo block with no promblems??

Should fit fine, but I think you'll have to swap flywheels and counter weights... someone re-enforce this...

The T2 trans bolts up just fine, you cant use a stock T2 flywheel, cause it wont balance the entire rotational assy. properly..

You need to remove the flexplate, and retain the stock counterweight, and use a lightened steel flywheel with the stock counterweight and the motor will be properly balanced...Just buy the lightened flywhel for the same year/application that the trans is...

All Mazda rotaries since '74 have the same bellhousing bolt pattern.


(and it's a 13B-RE not a "13btt")

yes i do know that its call a 13b - re, just thinkin of some people out that may of not
