Synthetic oil for a year then back to conventinal
Always ran castrol thx 20w50. A close friend gave me 2 gallons of redline synthetic. Will it be a problem when I go back to conventional Ive heard myths that it’s bad to do that ?

technically, you answered your own question.
essentially, you just want to know what the Redline does when it combusts. whatever issues may or may not exist, are in that property of the oil. i've never tried Redline in a rotary, but my guess is it would be fine.
in the event that it is ill-advised, you can always disable the MOP and premix until you're done running through the Redline.

Yeah they always said not to run synthetic because it didn't burn as well (injected by the omp). If we weren't talking a rotary.... just any old piston engine.... then it wouldn't mstter going back and forth between conv. and synthetic, that IS a myth. But if being injected into the combustion chamber.....
I wouldnt do it. I use synthetic oil because my omp is dissabled and I know the synth won't get into the comb. chamber. I pre-mix in the gas (which I also don't recommend... it's a PITA).
