Sylvania Headlights

Well id ecided to get new headlights. First thign comes to mind, Silverstars. I see the price(25 each) i think i can live with that, kinda steep thou. Go to autozone, theyre out. He can have some today. He then tells me abuot their next step down. Not the cools blues but extra brights or something. He has 2 on stock, and saysd they a pretty near being as good as the silverstars, but heres the kickers. 7 bucks each, not the whole light, not just the blub. I got 2 of them so i will see how it goes. They halogen so do i need to worry about melting anything?

no you don't need to worry about melting. did you get the silvania xtra visions then? I used to have those on my fb, recently upgraded to the silverstars and i must say im pretty happy with them.

jim if you have any csk stores around in michigan (checker schucks or kragen) then they have a deal right now, if you buy two of the silverstars, you get $10 off, PLUS you get a $10 mail in rebate. So you'd only be paying $15 a bulb, not bad at all.

i had some next-step-down sylvanias on my '83 and they were really nice. i would recommend them. very bright, but normal color so they didn't attract any five-o.

I have Silverstars in my VFR, my wife's Jeep and my Accord. They kick ***. At work we sell the conversion pieces to make the BULBS replacable. They accept 9003, H1, or H4 bulbs (but the need to be modded a little). I will definetly put in the Silverstar H4 bulbs in there for the best lighting possible. The whole deal will run about $60 bux for the lenses and the bulbs, well worth it.

EDIT: FYI, the level of lights from Sylvania from top to bottom is:

Best: Silverstar
Better: Cool Blue (but looks rice)
Good: Sylvania XV
