Sway bar help.....New bushings or aftermarket?
Hey
I have been looking at lots of threads....
What do you think the best help for our 20 year old swaybars?
New bushings..........if so what type and where to get them
Or upgrade the swaybar to a new system......if so what swaybar and where did you get it...

It all depend on how you drive/use your car. The cheapest improvement is to leave the rear sway bar bushings alone if the rubber is still there.
For the front buy new poly for the endlinks, bar and tension bushings.Maybe control arm bushings too, but wouldn't bother until you do the front struts.

Poly bushings from Energy Suspension all around. Fr end links, rear links, Watts linkage, tension rods and front sway bar. New shocks and springs and you will think you have someone elses car!! I hear it's cheapest to buy the bushings from Energy Suspension direct.

I agree with Manntis 100% on the RB front sway bar with poly-bushings. I just put it on my 85se two weeks ago and the car turns on a dime. I still have the original shocks and spring. I would leave the stock rear sway bar alone.

What harm would it be to replace the stock bushings on the rear links with polys? I am not including the two bushings on the bar. I understand they should stay stock.

Stock front anti-swaybar and bushings, removed the rear anti-swaybar. Car handles like this...
Tokico Blues, Eibach pro-kit and 205/50-15 Azenis are the only suspension mods..
While autocrossing the car tends to push a little, but you can coax the rear end around with some creative braking. I'm looking into the RB front anti-swaybar and all poly bushings up front...
I might have to run a stock anti-swaybar in the rear once to get some "pivot" but for open track, I'll disconnect it.
