Swapping T2 seats in

Those who have T2 seats in there FB, what is involved in swapping the T2 seats in? Can you use the stock T2 rails that are already on the T2 seats?

pics would be great too.

Thanks in advance guys.

Rails are the exact same, it is direct bolt in.

No pics (digi cam lost) but I did it about 2 weeks ago, 30 minute job with some intense vacuuming work. Looks 10 times better with the new seats.

The rails aren't exactly the same. You have to swap the right rail on the driver's seat from your old seat to the new TII seats.

Interesting how for some it's a direct bolt in.

I just put TII seats in mine and the passenger rail was slightly different. Nothing a drill didn't fix, though.

Perhaps the seat mounts changed on the 84/85 cars? I know that both my '79 and '82 had the same mounts.

are TII seats all leather, or are some fabric??

I like the design but I dont like leather in a car that can corner as fast as my car. I already slip out of the shity vinyl seat I have now. Base model seats are completely worthless, I have to tighten my lapbelt like crazy when I race with it.

most t2 seats are cloth. Someone can correct me if i'm wrong but the leather t2 seats came in the anniversary edition and the last year or two of the S5.
