Swapping out my door

Hey

Got a replacement door for my 84 GSL...its from an 83...

It has power window and power mirror but not the lighted key hole lock.

My question is does the 83 support this or do I need to yank my wiring and transfer it over..........along with my lock.....

Once on what is the best way to adjust..my door is real bad......so i'm sure it will be OK once its on......but just in case.......

Thanks also for all the tips on fender removal.....that last nut is a killer.

Jim

Adjust? You mean striaker angle and whatnot...

Get the door on and leave the bolts a few turns loose on both the door hinges and the striker. Close the door hard and open it again. Tighten the bolts and you're good.

Not too sure about the wiring. See where connectors match up.. You may be able to use the 83 door wiring if you're willing to ditch the lighted keyhole. (Mine never worked anyhow. I never knew it was there or I woulda changed the bulb.)
