swaping intakes
I am about to change intake manifolds on my '85 GSL
It has a 12a. I am changing stock manifolds as the last owner for some reason took the stock manifold off and replaced it with a manifold from a car without power brakes.
Now call me a wuss but I hate using both feet to stop.
I have a new gasket and a couple of O-rings but is there anything else that I should know about this before hand.
P.S. I cured my rough idle problems. Seems the previous owner put the dist in one tooth off.
I'm going to change the handle to Lucky-7 as I have only spent $42.00 Cdn getting this none runner back on the street. She aint perfect yet but she's getting there.

Dont forget to drain the coolant ive also heard if you block up the intakes coolant passages you can gain a few hp at the cost of either icing or the car takes longer to warm up or somethin...? So depending on where u live it might be worth it.

Well all went well, good thing that I did my the coolant what a mess that would have been.
It took me about 1 hour but I panned it all out before I started by making sure that I had all the tools and parts that I needed.
It was a pretty simple project and the best part is now the ower brakes work so no more praying to stop.
Now I have to tighten the steering. It never ends does it.
