would it work if i used the 12a gauge cluster except the gsl-se gauge cluster? i know the gsl-se gauge cluster wont fit in the 12a so is the wiring the same so its plug and play or do i have a big problem? i like the 12a gauge cluster becuz the rpm gauge is in the middle. so is there a way??

the 12A is an engine. The gauge cluster is a dash component. North American 84-85 RX-7s had that cluster, 12A or 13B. You mean you want to put an 81-83 cluster in an 84-85 car?

Gauge cluster
If you are putting a se 13b in a 83 12a your only concern is the ecu and wiring to the ecu. the instrument cluster will not have to be changed. Remember you are not changing the harness at the cluster. Also the water temp/oil pressure senders are all the same up until 92. There is no reason to worry about this
