Swaped oil cooler

i swaped my oil cooler yesterday on my 84 SE bc it was leaking, i swaped in a S4 ( thank you Scott for the write up!) all went well with the fittment the only problem i had was finding someone to get my lines made for me. i went too a total of 3 places b4 i found soneone that could do it for my and it cost a grip, but mainly it was bc i used steel breaded teflon hose.

this is the stuff http://www.bonacoinc.com/teflon_brake_lines.htm

i know that it is a bit over kill but i wanted some thing that will last and the other hose prducts that he had, had a heat range of about 180* and etter for not much better for pressure so i opted for the good stuff. it cost around $250 for the parts and everything. like i said alot.

you can see in the 1st pic i changed my oil cooler!
you can also see that An fitting wherent use but ferrels witch i prefer.
this isnt how it looks right now i will get some pics tomorrow of how it looks complete. my hands had oil all over them by the time i was done.

i have sense cleaned the oil on the lower pan and reinstalled my water low level sensor
talking about level sensor i got a 3 row radiator from B&B racing and didnt even know it until yesterday im going to install that next weekend!!!

so for this swap, is it a "must" to change the oil cooler lines? I have a 2nd gen oil cooler and SS lines for it aswell and was thinking of doing this, but i might change my plans if it is going to cost me $250.

NO. I did it in my 83 gsl using the s4 cooler and reusing the lines that came w/ it.

i didnt have to spend $250 i just choose too thats all. you can get lines made for around $50 or so. the reason had line made was bc when i got my
cooler from pick-n-pull they where cut

The oil lines could have been made a bit shorter and tucked a bit nicer, but nice job. Now it's time that we all thank trochoid.

Thank You trochoid!!!
