If you don't know your engines, then you're not ready to be buying, much less installing and have it work correctly. In my sig line is a link to the FSMs, download an 87 and an S5 manual and start reading. There are some differences between the Series that make the installs different, at times critical, if not done right.
Spend some time in the 2nd forum and familiarize yourself with the 2nd gen TIIs.
Welcome to the forum and the Darkside.

Looks like a nice setup, trans included is a plus.
The JDM engines are still a toss-up on their condition and they suck when its time to wire, since the harness is on the wrong side. Its best to get a US engine if you can,or look for a US spec harness.
Speaking of wiring, sounds like you need to do quite a bit of research and reading before diving in.No point in spending the dough yet, there are PLENTY of TII engines out there, with more arriving everyday.Get in touch with the engines and become aware of how much work and the type of work is needed,to perform this swap before you blow the wad on the engine.
We are happy to help along the way,but were not gonna go "step by step" and answer the same questions hundreds of times over.Back in early 01' I had never even seen a TII engine in person! I did 3 months of research for my S4 TII swap and then did the job in one week with no problems.I then did my current S5 swap the next year with little trouble.I can now do CA smog legal, stock ECU TII swaps with my eyes closed.
Welcome,
Steve
