suspention question ...

i was reading the other day about how during the last years of the firts generation , the trailing arms were dropped 20 mm to improve handling . can someone tell me more about this ? what parts did they change ? and if there are differences in parts then it would be cool to see what they are (pics)

It was to overcome the oversteer problem. If you are running aftermarket sway bars then you have already taken care of the problem.

****what parts did they change ?***

The rear lower link chassis bracket mounting hole is 20mm further away from the underside of the chassis.

As he said the mount itself on the body of the car is different. Don't have any pics as both my cars are 83's, but all you have to do is look at where the lower control arm bolts to the body and its clearly a different piece. Something tells me it doesn't make much, if any difference as all of us complain about the same handing issues

The rear suspension has so many things wrong with it simply lowering the mounts 20mm isn't going to do anything, i think its funny that they even bothered to begin with.
