Another few questions... Sway bar. Just mount the subframe, then stick the swaybar where it would go on the FC? Or is there some precise measurement I have to do on the FC chassis.

Has anyone here gotten an alignment yet? How far off is the caster when you use the stock front mounting holes? Is there any way to get it to stock caster?

I now have an FC subframe, control arms, steering rack and column in the back of my truck

I await a set of blown GXL shocks/spindles (Gonna go aftermarket later.) and 4 lug hubs and brake equipment (Had to sell the 5 lug parts.)

i dont have a pic but i didnt mount it to the fc subframe i mounted it to the frame with a 1x2 inch squar tube, and welded on cut off pieces of the stock engine mount, really a simple idea, but it worked,, right now im just figuring out a way to tap my 12a center iron, for 2nd gen mounts, ill tell you all how it works, i also have pics of my steering column if anyone is interested, really not that hard, just gotta get your measurements right the first time

Man I thought this thread was dead... I have the rack and have been too busy to swap it. Anxiously awaiting an update.

i have not gotten an allingment yet, but when i test drove it i found it pulled side to side on the highway , wich is obvious with something like this, but i do plan on getting camber plates, and having an allingment done, i also thought about slotting the holes where the camber plate bolts up in a front to back direction that way i have complete adjustability of where the top of the strut goes, then of course ill have some allingment guy spend a wack load of time on it, haha.

i just cant find a place to get cheap fc camber plates in canada. ebay maybe? but they are harldly ever on there,

on mounting the 12a engine ill take some pics of what i did, it wasnt so bad other than it got in the way of the water hose which was a pain to deal with, i pan on remaking it differently, i also have got to get some pics of my steering column, i can explain it better than the pics will show though, if anyone is interested, the hardest part is joining a fb and fc column together, but that way you can use all your regular signals and such,

No, but I did the swap also, and explained most of what was required in my thread, do a search for half-way there under my name.

FWIW I used the fb springs and used the FBtop hat with a cusco camber plate, I turned the camber plate to use is as caster instead, and adjust the camber by modding my strut where they bolt to the hubs.
