Suspected vacuum leak.

Hi, I have a 12a with a stock nikki freshly rebuilt, emissions removed, aftermarket pump w/ holley regulator. I have to turn the idle mixture screw to very rich in order for the car to idle right. The vacuum guage says about 14" Hg which is pretty low. I sprayed carb cleaner everywhere! I got some reaction around the carb spacer. Which spacer gasket should I use/ not use when I did the rebuilt. I may have scraped the attached spacer gasket off before I knew it was a bad thing. If I silicone the gaskets that came with the rebuild kit onto the spacer it should seal right? Otherwise, I feel as though I will need a new spacer...

What do you mean by deleting? I deleted all my emissions, the shutter valve, the high alt compensator, the hot start motor, and the sub-zero assist.

The common wisdom is that you can't successfully replace the built-in sealing surfaces on the spacer.

How much of that is based on getting the port holes in the right place (which the kit-provided gaskets don't do) and how much is due to materials differences between paper gaskets and the resilient facings on the spacers, I don't know.

It is driveable as is but I want this car to drive awesomely how it's supposed to. That being said, do any of you have an extra carb spacer laying around? I dont have any money yet, but I have some extra stuff for trade. I have an interior door panel, sidemarker lenses, hot start motor, a/c throttle opener, and some other random stuff. Oh god, I just realized I'm becoming one of you, hoarding extra parts...
