I have a 85 12a and when i am on constant power as in going thru town lets say 3rd gear 35 mph i have a constant surg. has anyone else had to deal with this and what did you fine was wrong. have a new air filter gas filter timeing is right almost seams like some kind of air / vac leak but cant seem to find any. any ideas would be helpfull thanks..ps when you step on it it goes along great.

ops it seems the faq page surging us for 13b and not 12a's any ideason the 12a surging

 

is it possible your clutch is slipping? Or does the car pull ahead when surging?

 

Add a second, or even better, a third fuel pump.

Right in line one after another.

I had this same problem in my car and that did the trick.

 

My 1/2 bp does that if I try to cruise at 3k or below. If your's isn't ported, look into both fuel and vacuum systems.
