Supercharged SE
I posted this thread under another name but I dunno if many people saw it or not so heres one more shot.
I found one of these Nelson-Paxton SC kits for sale for $1000 and was wondering if it would work on my SE
This is the kit http://pbgarrott.tripod.com/pgsupercharger/index.html
http://www.geocities.com/boatseason/rx7.html
Or i could buy it with a complete S4 motor that has been rebuilt with 10k miles for $2000
Which would be the better option, to buy the whole motor and swap it in, what all is involved with that, i know they have the 4 injectors to the SE's 2 so its not a plug and play.
BTW I was planning on rebuilding my motor anyhow. Any tips advice ect is welcome.
The best option but I dont have the money for it buy the supsercharger and the motor and put in a haltech/microtech.
Thanks
Greg

I have never liked the idea of centrifugal superchargers on rotary engines. Boost rises linearly as rpm increases with centrifugal superchargers, so the only time you will reach peak boost is at redline. Rotary engines need as much help they can down low, this will make your 7 have an even peakier power band then it does already.
Those are my feelings for a street car at least. On a race car you will be spending most of the time in the upper regions of the rpm band anyway.
If you are going to supercharge, i say go with either a camden kit, or some other roots style blower.
Ido like the s4 motor idea that you have though. You will need motor, ecu, wiring harness, 12a or gslse front cover, gsl-se oil pan, various other things (do a search)

Yeah I also saw that $300 supercharged thread and was wondering about that too.
I also like the s4 swap but the cost to get the ECU, get it installed and tuned is just out of my reach now. I have an SE so I could use that front cover and the rest should pretty much bolt in.
