Sugested exhaust diameter for bridgeported 12a
Sugested exhaust diameter for bridgeported 12a
I looked and couldn't find an answer so here goes..... I recently got a 12a bridgeported engine.
The racing beat header I got with it collects into just a 2 inch diameter pipe..... which I odviously know is too small for the whole exhaust. And I know for a stock port 2.25 is sugested but what about a bridgeport? Thanks guys!

Two 2" O.D. pipes merging into a 2.5" pipe for street. Merging into a 3" pipe for off road.
The relatively smaller 2" O.D. pipes will increase velocity over the 'you gotta have huge primaries in a bridgey, 2.25" OD at a minimum' some will say. Smaller diameter = more velocity and more scavenging.

Wow..... this may sound stupid but I didnt really understand that. lol My RB header two 2 O.D. pipes merge into just a 2 O.D. all in one welded header. But yeah all the other stuff I'm still kinda confused about.
sorry.
sorry.
