Yeah, boo hoo.

I was busy working on the front kickpanels, next thing I knew, it was 5 o'clock. There you go.

Oh yeah, and do me a favor: Show me anyone else on this forum that will shell out their own money to build a product based only on deposits of $50.

The ones by your feet, and you will be able to put 5 1/4" in them.

I'm also building tweeter pods for up above the door panel, in the corner of the window.

Due to space constraints, it's sealed. I'm trying to put as much volume into them as possible, which is the reason why there are so many redesigns. Take a look at the area I'm putting them into, and you'll understand why it's so difficult.

Yep. Eventually.

Yeah, especially with my forum rep. It's not like I'm a newbie or some random ******* that just hops on here. Notice I started putting up pics when it was just for my personal project, and people showed interest in getting them. I'm not CP Racing.

I'm working on them right now, hopefully I will have several sets complete by the end of the day to give the doubters a big **** you.

I dont mind it taking this long, I still need to get my subs. Plus all the redesigns he's done, sounds like the product keeps getting better and better. Also the weather out there wasnt cooperating well, and that added to the delays.

I've got to give $100T2 mad props for putting up with your guys' ****, and still agreeing to make them. Look at how long he's been on the forum, and when do you ever hear anything bad about him? You don't... there is reason for that. Chill the **** out and let the man work on his own time.

Part of the reason I started something else was because I needed some space to figure out the solution to what was vexing me. Sometimes you need to step back to see the forest rather than staring at the same old tree.

Sure, I could have done them the original way 2 months ago... And provided a heavier, substandard product. I haven't heard any complaints from anyone who has actually paid the deposit, probably because they know I'm trying to give them the absolute best enclosure I can.

Yeah, I've had 1 person pay me in full, 7 people pay $50 each. That's a whopping $600. I've got probably $1000 in materials into this as it is, not counting my own time, mostly due to constant refinement. I've debated sending these guys their enclosures now, just so they can have them, but why? So I can send subsequent people a much better, lighter, nicer design? That would make me a big *******, and if there's one thing I'm not going to be, it's a big *******. I've thrown away at least 7 finished enclosures that would have been perfectly fine for me, just to use in my car, but that didn't meet the type of standards I would want if I were to buy it from someone else. I have half a mind to put up pictures of the mess I've made of my basement just to make these things. I'm also using this time to build sub enclosures when I could actually be working on my OWN RX-7.

Those comments I made were me just joking around.

$100T2, is a big name on the first gen fourm, Id say up there with DirectFreak. I mean come on look how many write ups this man has done. We called him Mr. How-To. Not only does he do all his own custom work on his 7 he takes the time to write it up and take pictures and share info with us to better help his fellow 7 owners improve thier cars. I Myself have used one of his write ups.

I have paid my 50 dollars. There is not one part of me that thinks that he will back out, or scam me. I am sending my full payment today, as a matter of fact.

Also, he guessed at a price of how much this would cost, then reliezed it might be a lil more than that, but you know what he stayed true to his word, and kept the 200 dollar price. How many people do that?

IMO there is nothing wrong with taking your time to make a good product, yeah he could have made this went cheap on the parts and got off with a ton of money. As some people would have. Not Kevin

Think about this, how long has he been working on it. This is time he could be spending with his son.

So, until you have made something and sold it on the fourm, lay off and let the man work!

Take as long as you want Kevin you have my Respect!

Like he said above, it looks like the people who are complaining about it are people interested in it, but not people who have shelled out the cash.

MattG said it best, so everyone lay off.

Yep... That's why I only work on them during his nap times or the days when his mother has him. She has had a gall bladder problem for the past two weeks, probably needs surgery, and he has been here everyday... Between that and the storms (which knocked out power last night at the beginning of the NBA finals... **** lightning!!!) I haven't been able to do as much as I would like.

All I have to say is $100T2, take your time. I want it to be done the right way and not rushed or anything like that. I love what you are doing this for us guys because nobody cares about cars like ours except us owners. No rush here, seem like a good guy to me, and you seem to have a lot of reputation. Just let me know when you post the pics.

oh I'm not cutting on your work... or that you'll get it done. I've followed everything that you've done and its giving me a million ideas. The only thing that gets me is that you'll say you'll post a pic of it and the picture never comes. So then the next day people rush to see if the pics up only to find, again no picture. I myself have been on here day after day to see updates. Infact the only reason you find me all the time is because I'm willing to wait and pay a higher price after the first set so I can see some good quality work, because I know you change ideas more than a women that changes her underwear. However, often the projects and pictures... just stop. And we never hear anything more about them. You get what I mean?

And 9 times out of 10, I decide not to post the pics because I'm not happy with the product. You get what I mean?

I like to see pics that show a design evolution. It's all about the developement process, the try, fail and try again approach. By following the genesis to the finished product, a great deal can be learned, especially why things that should/could work, and don't because there is a better way to do/make things that are learned along the way.

This learning process is often easily transfered into other projects, giving the new project several jumps in the developement process.
